It is an interdisciplinary group basing its work on the application of numerical modelling to access marine environmental problems.

Scientific Research

The main research areas are hydrodynamics and dispersion (Eulerian/Lagrangian),  sediment transport (cohesive sediments or not) and water quality processes including  primary and secondary production  and  diagenic processes.


 

Engineering Solutions

The main goal off our scientific developments is to achieve exploitable products. MARETEC adresses marine environmental issues dealing with: marine, estuarine and riverine eutrophication , dreadging (sediments transport and dispersal), marine circulation, submarine oufalls impact, water contaminants dispersal, thermal discharge plume.
